Course schedule 2010:

4/1; 1/2; 1/3; 15/3; 29/3; 5/4; 3/5; 24/5; 31/5; 14/6; 28/6, 5/7; 19/7; 2/8; 16/8; 30/8; 13/9; 27/9; 4/10; 11/10; 2/11; 29/11.

No tuition on: 6/1; 5/4; 2/6; 24/6; 1/11; 8/12.

Standard courses (4 hours a day) normally take place in the morning. If courses are held in the evening, they will not clash with scheduled extra curricular activities.

Intensive courses (6 hours a day) take place in the morning and early afternoon.

Conversation hours are usually offered either during the second session of standard courses or in the afternoon session of intensive courses.

One lesson hour lasts 50 minutes.

ENROLMENT

Please complete the enrollment form, pay the enrollment fee and send the copy of the money order to the school office together with the form. Please give the student's name, the course choice and the starting date on all the forms of the money transfer. Bank charges have to be paid by the student. Payments can be made:

  • via an international postal cheque
  • via bank transfer

    • GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS

  • The whole tuition fee can be paid in advance together with the enrolment fee, but must be paid at latest on your first course day in the school office in Florence in cash, by international check or by Traveler's Check.
  • The accommodation fees can be paid cash to the landlord within the first two days after your arrival in Florence. If you ask for a reservation in an apartment/studio you have to pay a deposit of the amount of a one week rent while enrolling for the course.
  • Cancellations and postponings of courses must be notified to the school office by cable or registered letter at least 20 days before the course begin. Only in this case IL GLOBO will accredit the enrolment fee paid for a later course. If students attend classes irregularly or if they leave off the course for personal reasons, they cannot claim partial reimbursement of the tuition fees. The school is closed on Italian public holidays. The missing lessons will not be made up and there is no refund.
  • IL GLOBO claims no responsibility for injuries, damage or loss of property either within the school building, during outside activities organized by the school or within the lodgings. Any damages caused by the student in the school building or in the lodgings must be paid directly by him or herself.
  • We recommend to our students to take out an insurance before leaving their country which covers health, accidents and theft. Students from EU-countries can ask their insurance for the E-111-form (medical certificate for foreign countries).

    • * PRONUNCIATION FOR SINGERS - For students who wish to master the phonetics and pronunciation of the language of opera. It is also possible to organise courses for two people or small groups. Thanks to our music school, we will be glad to organise singing private lessons for all levels in our centre or by highly qualified teachers.
